In addition to his artistic accomplishments, Marcus brings more than 30 years of experience in education, serving children and youth from preschool through college. His leadership roles have included Residential Director for the Upward Bound Program at East Stroudsburg University and Director of a childcare facility. Beyond direct instruction, he has mentored educators and administrators, supporting the development of effective instructional and leadership practices.
Marcus is also a dedicated anti-bullying advocate, using his platform to address bullying and suicide prevention through public speaking and media. He regularly presents at school board meetings, churches, youth organizations, and community forums, advocating for safe, inclusive environments for young people. Drawing from personal experience and extensive research, he has written, directed, and produced multiple films that confront these critical social issues.
Grounded in his Christian faith and inspired by the legacy of his late mother, Monica Ruth Siler, Marcus approaches his work with purpose, integrity, and a strong sense of service. He lives by the motto: “Life is Art, as Art is Life. I will always tell stories that are worth telling because I will always live a life worth living.”
